The Northeast is lucky to play host to a number of thriving ski clubs that make use of both snow and artifical slopes in the area. Learn more about our member clubs here.

Ravens Tigers Ski Racing and Development Club was formed in 2018 following the merger of The City of Sunderland Ravens Ski Club and Tigers Ski Development Group. The merger followed a successful period of working together for the benefit of both memberships. Building on the proud history of the two predecessor clubs (with Ravens founded in 1975 and Tigers in 1995) the club has produced many talented athletes and provided competitive enjoyment for countless others.

Members enjoy exclusive use of the Main slope at Silksworth Ski centre on a Wednesday evening between 7 and 9 pm as well as shared use on Thursdays between 6:30 and 8:30. The club is open to all skiers who can perform linked plough turns from the top of the main ski slope.

For many years the club, in partnership with Silksworth Ski Centre, Sunderland, has hosted regular regional and national competitions as well as inter-school open competitions and events for absolute beginners.

Tyneside Loipers is an outdoor activity club whose main interest is cross country and nordic skiing in its various forms. The club regularly host the north east regional round of the British series of roller ski race.

Weardale Ski Club is a "not for profit" organisation which has run since 1963 offering real snow skiing in Northeast England.

Based on the edge of the Northumbrian village of Allenheads, we offer excellent skiing and boarding whenever there is snow.
